5.112 Event Cloud Product Release Notes - October 03, 2022

Below are the release notes for the 5.112 Event Cloud release on Monday, October 3, 2022

New Features and Enhancements

“Keep me signed in”

Login pages on events that have the mobile app enabled will offer a new checkbox option to “Keep me signed in.” Users who select this checkbox will not need to re-enter their credentials to log back in for 7 days from their last login. Note: Some actions can extend this, for example, a user visiting their profile page in the event will restart the 7-day count.

Users who do not select this checkbox or log into an event where this checkbox is not available will be logged out based on the browser closing.

Embedded Studio Session On-Demand Captions

On-demand Toggled Subtitles are now also supported within Embedded Studio sessions. Toggled Subtitles allow text of the speaker's audio to appear as an overlay in the lower third of an Embedded Studio On Demand session. Each attendee can choose to quick-toggle the captions on and off within their own view using the cc icon, and/or select between multiple subtitle languages under the settings gear when multiple languages are uploaded to a single session.

Event Editor

  • Within the Registration Builder settings, in addition to selecting the Registration start & end dates, the time on each of those days can also be configured. This time will use the time zone set for the event. On existing events, the time will default to 00:00 AM on the dates previously configured, and those can also be edited to utilize this new functionality.

  • Across all Event Editor themes, the three Registration Builder pages maintain a placeholder container when saving any labels, titles, subtitles, or paragraph fields as blank, to allow re-adding content in these areas later as needed.
  • As a continued step towards WCAG compliance, the Technology theme default color palette options have been updated to improve color contrast ratios.
