Feature Issue: STUDIO - Email Messaging - Long Date merge variables display incorrectly - TFS #12579

Feature Issue:

The Standard (short date) merge variables ( $[WCStartDate]$ & $[WCStartDateDDMMYYYY]$ ) works as intended however the long date merge variables ( $[WCStartLongDate]$ & $[WCStartLongDateDDMMYYYY]$ ) displays incorrectly as if it were sending the default system day.

(12 hr. difference from the US to Taipei)

Email confirmation variables inputs:

Webcast Start Date - $[WCStartDate]$
Webcast Start Date (DD/MM/YYYY) - $[WCStartDateDDMMYYYY]$
WC Start Long Date - $[WCStartLongDate]$
WC Start Long Date - (DDDD, DD, MM, YYYY) $[WCStartLongDateDDMMYYYY]$

Email Confirmation provides:

Webcast Start Date - 04/20/2022
Webcast Start Date (DD/MM/YYYY) - 20/04/2022
WC Start Long Date - Tuesday, April 19, 2022
WC Start Long Date - (DDDD, DD, MM, YYYY) Tuesday, 19 April, 2022

Steps to Recreate

  1. Create a New Studio Webcast Event
  2. For the event Date and time set it for any time in the morning before 1:00 PM.
  3. On the settings section set the time zone to (UTC +08:00 Taipei)
  4. Set the Access to Registration Required with No Password
  5. Click SAVE
  6. On the dashboard Click Option 3 Registration
  7. ** Make sure time zone is not a registration question included in the registration process **
  8. Scroll down and set the default time zone to (UTC +08:00 Taipei)
  9. Click SAVE
  10. On the dashboard Click option 5 Messaging
  11. Under the messaging options Click to select Registration Confirmation
  12.  Click Edit Email at the bottom of the page.
  13. When the HTML Editor pops up scroll down to the section in the email that provides the “Date:” for the event.
  14. Below the text “Date:” create a separate line with a label for each merged variable you going to be using so you can verify their outputs.
      • Example:
        Webcast Start Date : $[WCStartDate]$
        Webcast Start Date (DD/MM/YYYY) : $[WCStartDateDDMMYYYY]$
WC Start Long Date : $[WCStartLongDate]$
WC Start Long Date (DDDD, DD, MM, YYYY) : $[WCStartLongDateDDMMYYYY]$
  1. Once complete be sure to save it before closing the HTML Editor window. Then click Save in the lower right corner of the Message EDIT page.
  2. On the Dashboard click on OVERVIEW and copy the registration link.
  3. Open a new browser and paste the copied registration link and proceed to register for the session you have created.
  4. You should receive your confirmation email. In the date section of the confirmation email, the first two date variables should display correctly, the last two dates will display the incorrect date.

Using the default standard Webcast Start Date Variable

Webcast Start Date - $[WCStartDate]$
Webcast Start Date (DD/MM/YYYY) - $[WCStartDateDDMMYYYY]$
